I don't know how burrows and biega are anywhere near the Canucks roster come oct 1st.
- Scooby_Doo

With Pedan killing it, Stetcher owning it and Tyramkin's contractual obligations, Sbisa, Biega and Larsen have alot to prove.

That game looked better than the World Cup

LUcic looks like a seven year mistake.

Stecher will be in the mix for the Calder trophy ( not Cup )

Sbisa will be moved to KHL

Subban and his feelings will be moved

Belcher will admit he was wrong at Xmas

RedMile will not been seen in here after Xmas

Canucks will hoist the Cup ( not the presidents trophy, the real one)

He looked completely gassed at times. Wonder where he was in the fitness category.
- WhatTheNuck

Yeah that's what I noticed.

Just low percentage plays.

I was worried Edmonton was going to run up the score dressing their top line and for the first few minutes it looked like it could be a long night, but the Canucks played better as the night went on.

Good speed to the game. A good preseason game.

I wouldn't be surprised if Etem gets put on waivers before the end of the season.
- classic321

Etem isn't very good. He won't make the team.

PEdan killing it?
I don't see PEdan and Tryamkin on the roster. Similar player.

Awesome. We're two games in to the preseason and certain players are already getting booted out of town. Not 3 days ago Gaunce was one of them. Pretty solid game by everyone tonight. Both ND guys look like they belong.

I'm not a regular...I comment when Ignoramuses spout off...irony. Ifyou'd like to have an intellectual discourse about hockey OR the Canucks? Welcome, I'm glad to school your little female dog ass on either.

It will be interesting to see what happens with the D. Stecher will be one of last cuts only because he is waiver eligible. Would guess Pedan is n7. Biega and Larsen to battle for 8. And then...can they stick with carrying 8 for the time being?

Stecher likely makes the opening night roster, Larssen and Biega get sent down and we roll with a bottom pairing of Sbisa - Stetcher with Tryamkin and Pedan rotating in as needed. Larssen hasn't shown anything yet, and Stetcher played big minutes and had 1g2a against a much better Oilers AHL lineup with their NHL 1st line intact.

I do want to see how he does on the PP with Baert/Bo/Rodin or even the Sedins/Erikkson because man, even playing with mostly NHL replacement level talent he put up the points.

I was impressed by the speed of some of our AHL level talent, PTOs and the bubble players like Carcone, Skille, Gaunce and Rodin. They had no trouble keeping up with the Oilers players in the neutral zone and on certain occasions were able to get a step or more on them and drive the net.

Nobody said he sucks. But people were going on and on about how very few NCAA UFA signings pan out, and he went undrafted for a reason.

Ive said for like a year and a half now that subban wont be here....and that if he wants to be it wont be as D man.
When you watch him play its apparent he doesnt have the Defensive instincts needed to be NHL D. However he is talented offensively. The guy plays like a forward, specifically a winger.
There is no space for him here now or in the foreseeable future. The GM doesnt have confidence in you on D either.

Barring a trade......jordan Convert or miss your chance at NHL. Youd make a great winger

It looks like at the very least the Canucks should have some decent callup options. Fun game to watch

with tanev, guddy, stetcher all being rights and tryamkin able to play both sides. maybe your right. it doesnt hurt to give him another year or 2 at d to see what he can do. at that point if it doesnt work out can always toss him to wing, the transition would be quick.
