Quincy is fine as long as he is paired with someone who can move the puck. Prepare to hold your breath whenever it's on his stick. Will make good defensive plays though.

Got a feeling that with the way our D is set up and the lack of a rush from the back end that Hall is going to wind up being our PP QB sooner rather than later. Wonder if he winds up in a Kovy type situation where he routinely plays the full two minutes.

Surely Quincey helps. Moore has been a cast off of numerous NHL clubs already in his young career. Columbus, NYR & Arz. NJ signed as a UFA. Merrill was a train wreck last season & Auvita has a whopping 0 games of NHL experience. I had serious concerns about NJ's D & this helps. It's still pretty ugly but Quincey did play as a top 4 Dman in Detroit last season playing 1 second less TOI/GP than Green but logging the 2nd most ES TOI. He also took 2nd unit penalty killing minutes. He should play in the #4 or 5 slot in NJ.

At a mil for 1 year who cares that's good value for what he should provide. Better than trying to force Santini into a role he may not yet be ready for. Youth & D in the NHL don't go well together. Better to expose these young Dman slowly in sheltered roles. Quincey helps buy some time.

That's pretty much how I look at it too. But I think someone is goinging to step up and sneak onto the roster based on camp. Probably Frenchie or maybe Vojtech.

I started watching NJ in 83, so i lived through the entire Brodeur era and i must say, this style that Hynes is preaching and the speed that we have throughout our core team and prospect pool is something i havent seen in over 25 years. We're just a fast organization. Very excited for this new regime and new direction.

I'd compare these guys with the 87-89 ish teams with Broten, Muller, Verbeek, Shanahan, Broten etc, Diifferent era of hockey but those guys were young and played a fast, attacking game. Shout out to Bob Sauve!

No one has said much about Bastian ? Has he stood out in any way ? Does he play a heavy game or is just kind of out there learning the ropes and not making any waves ? I kind of liked that pick even if he isn't the most talented guy that was available. Kid has a great personality to!

I didn't expect any of th guys drafted this year to be NHL ready. Just wanted to see where he was At as no one was mentioning his play lol seems speers has looked pretty good although he is almost certainly going back to jrs.

I kind of wish Johnny hockey was offer sheet eligible lol steal him or kucherov and forget about the defense for a year just run with the best Offense we can assemble and one of the best goalies in the world as see some crazy exciting hockey lol
