Time to trade Halak for a 5th rounder while there's still a market for him. |

I'd love to know the real reason why he left the isles for less money. Its not like they're a bad team anymore. Seems strange to me. I know he said he wanted to change it up a bit, but its just odd whenever a player goes somewhere for less money. Its not like they're the Red Wings of old... |

Halak was amazing.....all that talk of him being traded on here a few months back is out the window. He looked like top 3 goalies in the league this tournament. |

Yes he was great lets hope he can keep it up, we all know his pattern of good year bad year and if he can split 60/40 with griess then the isles are in solid position o make the playoffs again. What they need outside that 1w is everyone to have a good year up front not another year of strome impersonating bailey nelson going of a cliff and lee being snakebitten |

He's a great goalie......I keep referencing this, but I remember when he was in Montreal and he literally outplayed Carey Price in the playoffs. |

Price is a great goalie but on team canada he doesnt get tested a lot they could have won with joey macdonald in net. I remember him in that playoffs and they debabted trading price instead now if they can get there and he plays like that or the world cup isles can take a round or 2 |

Bailey is going to be the same Bailey......soft and opting to pass on a breakaway. I think Strome has put some weight on and i loved the fact that he dropped the gloves and threw some bombs. Lee is great in front of the net on the PP......i just wish he had a little more of a mean streak in him. I really cant chirp Brock Nelson. Sure he dissapeared, but 26 goals for a "2nd line" guy is about what you want from him. If he was consistent all season he'd have 40 goals......he's not a 40 goal guy. |

I think the isles are strong enough to take the second round. I still think Snow makes a move before the season, as there's a log jam at all positions. |

If you watch him in front he battles out there taking hits moving guys around i mean hes not lucic but he gets in it and is strong and tough to move and the only guy that we have that actually does that |

Having no idea what Nielsen was thinking, I bet some of it had to do with the fact that Snow and the Isles really never made him any kind of an offer all year, probably giving him the feeling that he wasn't a priority. After going through hell and back with this team for all these years, Nielsen probably felt that he should have been made a priority to bring back. Waiting until the end of the year to start negotiating with one of your more productive and important players is not a way to show that they are a priority. You can bet that the Isles will not wait until JT's contract expires to begin negotiating an extension with him.
Whether or not Nielsen should have been a priority is up for debate, but my guess is that Nielsen saw that the Isles weren't climbing over themselves to re-sign him or KO or MM and figured it was time to move on. |

No doubt......just look at how big his head is. I just would like to see a face wash every now and then.........when you get under someones skin by being a d!ck like that, they take penalties. |

Look its one of the knocks on Snow........bad asset management. My guess is that the isles didnt make Frans an offer because they were targeting someone else. When that someone else was off the table, Snow probably came back to ole faithful. Still business is business, and he took less money to go on a Babcock and Datsyukless Wings. Makes you wonder...
You do however bring up a really good point, which is, if you're gonna make a serious offer, why wait until the last minute? |
