You guys see that Gaudreau uses a wet noodle for a stick? It's insane that he's able to play with a stick that is gauged for 10-12 year olds. (55 flex)

I think he means the interpretation of stats is what's subjective.

Eg. Team A had a much higher shot attempt differential than Team B. Therefore Team A played a better game, or even Team A possessed the puck more than Team B.

That's exactly what I mean, two different people can have the exact opposite interpretation of the same play. It's subjective.

My only problem with the forward lines is I feel Marner is getting set up to fail pretty good with Bozak and Martin

Maybe. Bozak isn't too bad as a vet for him to play with and I'm not as convinced as others that Martin is more goon than player. I think Martin is a better player than he gets credit for.

Also, I was going off of what Lucas said about Babcock putting Bozak/Martin together.

Of course they can be. But before crucifying a guy for something, it's better to look into the data and see if it supports your opinion.

Gards had 74 giveaways in 79 games. Not great for sure, but less than one giveaway a game is hardly unsurmountable. Especially when you see that guys with more giveaways per game include Subban, Brodie, Burns, Doughty, Muzzin, Big Buff, Seabrook, Klingberg and Letang.

I was thinking about it. If marner is going to play with the leafs, bozak line may be the right place for him. He'll get some soft opposition and tons of offensive zone starts.

remember when kadri was 3C - he was vs lower level D pairings, and he was great.

marner should do even better, if thats the case, considering how good lines 1 and 2 SHOULD be.
