Sure if he earns it, and only if he really earns it. He is one of the only players who can move up and down between the farm and the club. He could also go down to Utica (and as long as Green gets his instructions in simple bullet points) be a rock star. There is no sense in watching him have another year like last year and spend lots of time on the pine and 4th line, and doing Raffi Torres hits for ice time.

out of context to the conversation....it is not a loss of faith but he is not ready and showed that last year. The point was I think he is in Utica and not still. he was with us last year so that he could play men and not boys.

I think you're missing the development he went the last year, just my opinion, but you think development only comes in the form of production. Last year was excellent for Jake in a lot of ways, most importantly, seeing what it takes to succeed at the NHL level.

I think JV will be a good player just not ready, and Rodin can shoot the puck and get open. are you JV's dad? Are you European and upset your team lost? Signing Rodin was a good move, using JV's status to make space is also a good move.

I think that he is as ready as he'll ever be and has a very Swedish team to play on. His confidence is sky high, and I think he can make plays. I also am reminded (thanks to Dbot's avatar) of Sopel when he added 30 pounds of muscle in the off season only to realise that it is not a great solution to success. It slowed him down too much. JV was big already.

Anyway, my ideal scenario (though I don't think it will happen) would be that they both make it and Hansen and Burrows are traded for great picks, so I am now going to go to the pub......

Am I JV's dad? Grow up buddy. I have no problem with Rodin I just find it hilarious that posters like yourself are gifting him a roster spot over JV who has already had a successful season in the NHL at the age of 19. I hope Rodin does great but you are watching press releases and not hockey if you think he deserves a spot more
