NO...I look up stats myself...I don't read Yost....go to stats.hockeyanalysis and check out the top 20 opponents each faced...as I said..it's probably close...but I see your point for putting Trouba on the PP if he's outplaying Myers on the PP. I'm looking more at 5v5 stats which show Myers having tougher mins.

This actually makes a ton of sense. Leafs get their rigjt shot d, jets get their left andAnaheim gets a left winger to player with perry and Getzlaf. But I still don't think we should trade jvr. He's the only skilled vet winger we have. Marner looked great last night but he was playing with a bunch of plugs who couldn't capitalize.

At first, I thought he was a bust.

Then I was surprised and thought he'd be a decent 2nd line center... 50ish points per season guy.

Now I'm not so sure he can be that guy, or at least the guy I'd want fulfilling that role on my team.

If you see him as a great 3rd line center who can fill in on your top 6? He's great!

This happens with Marner more often than not.

He's a pass-first guy. He needs linemates capable of thinking the game at the same level as him.

That's why I think it is inevitable he plays with Willie or Matthews at some point
