Franson's ATOI has never been as high as Troubas dude. Not even when he was getting top line minutes. And what do you mean he can't supplant Myers? His ATOI was practically the same. There even strength ATOI are matched, Myers has the PP minutes, Trouba has the harder PK minutes. And I'm not suggesting a trade, I'm just saying he's already proven he's a top 4. ANd has gotten top pairing assignments. He's a lot more proven than you make him out to be.

Kapanen has always been a soft, perimeter player. I don't see a future for him with the Leafs. They should use him in a package to get something of use, going forward.

Rielly is the reason I think they could get him less than 6 mill. The two have been very comparable their first 3 years in the league. I can't see how Trouba would get more than Morgan. And I don't think a trade with the Jets will include either Kadri or JVR. Or even Marner or Nylander. There's enough in the pipe to do a deal though I think around other assets/prospects.

I'd include Kapanen in a package deal for trouba. I mean with Rychel, Soshnikov, Johnson, Brown, Timashov....its not like we don't already have an excess of guys fighting for wing spots. (Not to mention Marner, Nylander).
