lol yeah it is isn't it? I didn't even look at the empty seats. That's a bummer.

It's kind of anticlimactic I guess...the tournament has been too much of a walkover for Canada and everyone expects them to win this game and then clinch the next one. Still surprised more people didn't come out just to see the players.

They really need to let the US have their young guns players next time, to make it more competitive. As much as I've enjoyed the domination in the Olympics, Canada is overpowered.

the legacy that is being created is essential to Canada going forward... each wave of players will compare themselves against the predecessors. Don't mess with the formula... hopefully someone like Ovi comes out again and says "I'm going to Olympics" whether the NHLPA/NHL approve or not.

It is only time that the country really comes together behind anything.. shouldn't lose it.

And have a u23 team or u24 team if that helps from a marketing perspective.. won't really help the Yanks that much... having Gaudreau and Eichel wouldn't have made any difference to this most recent TeamUSA... and they wouldn't have picked Matthews.

It's great for Canada. It makes up for all those years where we didn't win in the Olympics, because our best players weren't there. It has been a golden age of domination for Canadian hockey, it's pretty sweet.

I think the US could be much improved next time around if they have those players and others, and if a new regime actually uses their best players. I'd like to see a really strong US team against Canada. I think the Olympics is the best marketing for hockey but I guess the NHL doesn't think so.

Although the Olympics itself is a racket, unfortunately.

Since it remains the only relevant hockey conversation at the moment I will say that I don't believe the Leafs will trade for him. They've been saying that no one will be more important than the team (yes, I know), and Trouba is acting as though he believes himself to be more important than the success of the Jets.

Please tell me you guys really don't think Leaf management is going to trade for a guy that is demanding a trade, because he doesn't get enough ice time, who is rumoured to want $6mm to $7mm a season? (FRANK) THAT POOP!
