Beaulieu is having a great game

Hudon and McCarron....not so much

- Symba007

J'entendais Jean-Charles chialer que l'équipe donnait à Lehkonen une meilleure chance que lui en étant placé sur une ligne offensive en partant...va falloir qu'il arrête de perdre la puck tout le temps s'il veut avoir les mêmes occasions...

The schedule is tight with Lehkonen, it's either the NHL or back to Sweden with him...I think it's just normal to put him in the best situation right away to get the best evaluation possible.

Still, I don't understand why they don't give Hudon more chances, he's been very good the last two years in the AHL

They probably just don't see him in the future but need him in the AHL so the club doesnt go 0W 65L

agreed, don't think he is part of the plans mid/long term. He will be a solid AHL player that can come up when they have a few injuries.

We know they can dominate agaisnt an east coast league team. Caps had like 7 shots in the game. Can't evaluate players with that opposition

Pretty good performance by both of them. Pateryn as well. Habs lineup wasn't exactly their A team.

Taking a look at both lineup and neither are revelant. That said, Radulov, Beaulieu and Pateryn did really well last night. Of course, it will be much tougher against NHL players but they took control of the game last night and it was good to see an Habs forward actually entering the O-zone with the puck and opening passing lanes instead of the dump and chase or the Tomas Plekanec ineffective shot outside the bell.

Both lineups were irrelevant, that's why I say it's hard to evaluate performances. It was a pond hockey game with some of the kids that play organized hockey and some of the kids that can barely skate.

for sure. Beaulieu displayed an offensive aggressiveness he would never would (or had) in an NHL game.

I wish he would, I think he's capable. Made a mini-statement for a spot with Weber.

Speaking of that guy...that offensive side of him is pretty quiet in that World Cup tournament...

don't think he gets much if any PP time, he is tasked with shutting down the top line on the other side. Doughty and Burns are the offensive D's BabDT is using.
