Bibeau sucked (continuing fine tradition of really suckie French canadian goalies with the Leafs)
Marner looked VERY good
Nielsen looked very good

Gardiner looked completely lost on at least one of the Ottawa goals. |

I am a fan of Gardiner, think he is very good and dont see him as the tire fire like a lot of Leaf fans...but 1 for 1 you make the deal all day of course - senstroll
sure, but no chance it's a one-for-one deal. |

at the game last night.
Poor Grilli.
5 runs in the 9th.
Then the Jays load the bases twice and could only get two runs.
Stop swinging for the fences boys! - Fakepartofme
yes they loaded the bases with home runs with their swing for the fences. |

Looks like giving away Gardiner creates too much of a hole on the left side.
Also, Gardiner is only 26 years old, he's still improving.
Leafs wouldn't recover.
No deal.

It's Jacob Trouba.
He's so good he made Stuart look like he should still be in the NHL.
Few players could accomplish this feat if you ask me. |

Same goes for Texas. Individuals are great. Aggregates of individuals are not. - TheMussel
Yup. Really enjoyed Dallas, very nice city.
That said, being a straight white male might have helped a little bit there... |

I'm pretty distraught that even after all this effort put into this rebuild the Senators still so clearly out class the Leafs. - BetterCallSaul
Don't be too hard man. Its exhibition game, I think toronto is a team on the rise. Senators are much later in their own development. |

I think they probably sign him or let him sit at home and think about hockey for a few weeks. |

Well Jets are in a bind.
The kid wants a bigger role than having to babysit Stuart + playing on the PK. He wants a chance to have some powerplay time and be on the ice with a better partner... oh and he wants to stay on the right side.
Jets can hardly give him what he wants because, as much as I love Trouba, he's not better than Big Buff on the powerplay and Patrick Laine will also play point....
A trade is what's best for him... |

Rielly Trouba
Gardiner Zaitsev
And i would be willing to give up jvr to get it …but I don’t believe jvr fills a need for winterpeg. |

He seems to be behind Myers too...is Myers better than him? ( I havent watched very much of Trouba and only a little of Myers. ) I could look up their Corsi if I thought it meant anything. |
