Well that's not happening. They might trade Buchnevich, Miller and Skjei though.
- tomburton99

Yeah i know. Just saying it would be funny after the whole summer ordeal. I could see miller or buch, but wouldnt skjei be almost a lateral move? He seems like he could be a good one. I know he is mainly LD, but he played RD with McD last year some, right?

I also think trading miller owuldnt be great int he long run. personally i think trouba is overrated, and i think miller is good and getting better. Now if it was for lindholm... Id be worried about you guys.

I think if they made a trade for him Miller would be a central piece in it. Just cause of his age and upside

Seems like, according to McKenzie's opinion, they'll be looking for a left-shot defenseman in return. A one-for-one trade.

...Therefore, our asking price is we want a Top 4 or top-pairing left-shot defenseman to fill the hole that we would be creating by trading Trouba.’ Because the Jets planned on playing Trouba on the left side with either Byfuglien or Myers this year...

The only piece we have that they would be interested in is McDonagh. Maybe Skjei forbthe expansiion draft protection reasons.

Mcdonagh is an all star. Those defensemen don't grow on trees. Winnipeg can piss of if they ask for Mac.

Would be (frank)ing dumb as hell if they did. Plus we would need to move more pieces. Trouba isn't a match for the Rags

If McDonagh were a few years older, you could make the argument that the trade would make sense. But at 27, it probably isn't a very logical move for the Rangers. I don't see any way they could acquire Trouba, if what McKenzie said is true.

Yup. McDonaghs cap hit and age make it a dumb trade. If they had to sign Trouba for what he is supposedly asking, would need to get rid of another player too. I don't dislike Trouba at all, but I would say there is a 100% chance he isn't coming to the Rangers.

I don't ultimately think Trouba will continue to ask for that $7M number. I think that was more of his agent saying "he doesn't really like the situation here, so you're going to have to grossly overpay if he's going to stay". I think he'll ultimately be in the $5M - $5.5M per range.

But yeah, I see no fit with the Rangers.

I wouldn't be completely surprised to see the Flyers make a move for him, although WPG probably would have to lower their ask to a "really good prospect". All the Flyers great defensive prospects are left shots, they have crap down the right side. They could afford to part with one of their highly-touted defense prospects (and maybe something else) to land Trouba. They'd have to find a way to clear some cap room too, though.

I love that its supposed to be college kids going to a cabin. Looked like a bunch of 40 yr olds hanging out.

The special effects and acting were so bad I was laughing so hard. Even my gf who hates scary movies was laughing.

It would have to be Ghost Or Provorovovov I'm guessing. I don't see why they would do that.

I mean if that's the ask then the answer is surely "no". But I'm not exactly sure that WPG is going to get an actual top pairing or top-4 defenseman in return for Trouba. That's not to say they're going to have to take back a pile of crap, but I don't know what they'll end up with.

Something like Sanheim (who is a really good defenseman), Streit (1 year remaining, gives WPG some offensive punch) and a pick could (maybe?) get it done. I dunno, not saying it will be the Flyers...just that I wouldn't be shocked if it was.
