What if Pedan Subban outplay Tryamkin Larsen in the preseason game?



Most likely won't play a part into who makes the team, I think the only question mark going into camp is whether Pedan or Biega stays and whether a PTO or JV stays. Barring any injures that is.

I do wonder if the Canucks "sneak" any players through waivers after tonight's game a la Markstrom last year.

Pedan is really the only one who really qualifies but Chaput and Megna could also be sent down early if they were worried about them as they are also eligible.

Speed toughness and skill on all lines. Move Sutter up and down when playing against bigger teams.

Not until he is fully fit and healthy. Missing half a season has huge implications. Look at Cassels.

It's all quite hilarious. Having any expectations for Rodin is somewhat foolish. Also, putting Stetcher or Subban in front of Larsen is absurd. The kid has a fair bit of pro experience and is still young. He is on the team.

Well if he's not healthy obviously it makes sense but what if he comes out of preseason at full strength and ready to go? He shouldn't be counted in or out 100%

Ideally Rodin can spend some time in the AHL if he isn't fully healthy but from Benning's comments the other day that they have him penciled in for 4 of the 5 preseason games it sounds like they really want to push him to see if he is ready and if his talent can translate.

The question for me is whether he is willing and able to pay the price to score in the NHL. If he attempts to play on the perimeter in the preseason he won't last long.
