that's pretty harsh commentary for Hillary Clinton... not sure why you feel you should post this in the Nux thread. Why not talk politics in Augello's blog...? oh that's right Dozzer'll ban anyone talking politics. |

Desmarais family and Power Corp. have a lot of pull with the Libs... hence the China lovefest... serves their business interests, imo... Chretien did the same thing with the Chinese... |

The Swedish Elite League is full of POTENTIAL and RAW talent. It by no means is world class. It is where up-and-coming Swedish stars come from, or where players who can't hack it in the NHL go to play. Rodin is by no means a guarantee. I am very optimistic but am not going to put the same expectation on him that people did with tree. |

From the "Province".
Six players were sent back to junior by the Canucks on Monday.
Rodrigo Abols, Brett McKenzie, Jakob Stukel, Cole Candella, Tate Olson and Carl Neill are the half-dozen.
Abols, McKenzie, Stukel and Candella are all 2016 draft picks, while Olson and Neill were picked in 2015.
It’s not a great sign for the latter two that they couldn’t even make the exhibition schedule. Both put up strong point totals from the blue line in 2015-16. Nor is it a good sign for Abols, who’s already 20. He put up 49 points last season for Portland. That the Canucks don’t even want to give him a go in the minors says a lot. |

I think that's more a sign of our depth in D prospects. Don't forget that it takes longer to develop a D-man then a forward. I don't read that much into it until it's time for them to resign after their ELCs expire and the team lets them go to UFA.
Not to mention, Olson and Neill were all late round picks so they would need more time than a more NHL-ready D-man. |

Word from camp on Gaunce. Wasn't a big fan of his when Gillis drafted him but I think he's now a much better player and his skating has improved ten-fold.
“He tested off the charts physically. He’s looked very good in all his practices. He looked really fast in the lone scrimmage of camp on Sunday, and clearly is in the mix to play for the Canucks on opening night.” |

I'm glad they seem to be inclined to let Gaunce play C again. I think it was smart to move him to wing but he broke out last year in Utica once injuries forced him back to centre. |

So what can we expect as an overall faceoff % bump now that Malhotra is part of the coaching staff? I expect it'll help Bo reach a very high level on draws. |
