I think it's pretty easy to see we don't have a legit 2nd RW, and I know JV would help our cause physically, but at a certain point you have to question what's best for him. Do you want him now just to hit guys and probably settle into a 2nd/3rd line checking role, or do you want him to develop more and round out his game to maybe reach elite potential?
Management just has to be careful not to mishandle him and miss out on what he could become. - NorthNuck
I'll take the develop more and round out his game. |

I think they do too. But I don't think he's an 82 game 2nd RW |

Gaborik out 8 weeks with foot injury - VANTEL
Won't really hurt the kings, but he was one of the few on team Europe who maybe could've gotten 1 or 2 past Price |

Won't hurt Kings? Lucic gone Gaborik out. Could have trouble finding goals |

I always feel annoying for posting every other comment on a page, but I just saw that Tree and Larsen are paired together for the game against SJ while Pedan is playing with Subban, another sign that they are likely our bottom pairing. |

Gaborik scored 12 goals in 54 games last year, losing Lucic is going to hurt them. |

I think he's gradually proven that he can score and light a spark (hopefully he can do it without the Sedins) either way he got some expectations to live up to this year. I'm routing for him, I'm a Hanson fan, there I said it. I celebrate their entire catalog ;> |

i like it.
But that 2nd line seems a bit soft, i keep coming back to it, but that 2nd line RW spot is a problem for me and why i think JV needs to slot in there to add that physical dimension. - dbot
Jake'll get a chance to do exactly that on Tuesday in SJ.
Second line Baertschi-Horvat-Virtanen according to Kuzma.

I. Am sure no one is annoyed with the amount of posts.
Tryamkin Larsen is probably due to Sbisa still playing/ not playing for team Europe.
I like that Dorsett stirred it up with Tre. He needs to play big and mean |

JV has proven he can compete at the NHL level. Sending him down is a waste of time IMO, we gotta have him developing on the big stage. Also, just bcus he gained muscle doesn't mean he slowed down. However, even if he did, big deal, when he finds his scoring touch, keeps hitting and making it hard for teams to play against him, does it matter if he's a bit slower? |

Maybe we should start hoping for injuries that will help us in the Pacific Thorton, Couture, Burns, Vlasic, Doughty, Muzzin, Kopitar, Sekera, Rieder, and Draisaitl. |

I was reading somewhere that JV had great possession numbers playing with Sven and Bo late last season. I don't see him as just a banger. I think he's got skills plus speed. I'm just saying i'd be happier with a JV playing up to his potential than Hansen/Rodin/Burrows or any PTO in the 2nd line spot. |

Same. He's got that mmmbop that we need. Just better suited on a 3rd line. |
