As much as we hate the dude, he DID just put up 37g. It is a risk because it could just be a Kulemin/Clarkson year but $6ish is definitely expected.

8 years though

Funny...my mom and dad never watched ball...then my grandma lived with them on and off for a few years ( she's a big ball fan ) my dad hated it cuz she was always watching. Now she's been moved into a home for about a year or so...and my mom and dad watch/talk Jays all the time....I'm like WTF.

36 when the contract is done. Marchand coming off a career season.

Can’t see anything going wrong here.

They're banking on his scoring because who knows how many of Vatranos 30 goals will be lost now thanks to his injury.

No, ups and downs dont last a month and usually dont involve almost every person on a team at the same time.
Ups and downs are par for baseball.....this was much more than that.
The players themselves, knew they had some momemtum, knew it was a series they had to win...lets hope they stay hot going into the playoffs.

- Fakepartofme

the WS champ Royals were 11-17 in Sept last year...the Jays are currently 10-12
...maybe they do last a month for other good teams also

I doubt they're worried about the last couple years....seems everybody is getting the extra ( at least the guys who have been scoring )

Last 6 seasons he's scored 153 goals...it's not like he only had 1 good year.

As far as #Leafs salary cap, Jared Cowen is officially bought out. His arb hearing will determine if buy-out was legal. He is not on roster

Interesting stat, although at the time the Royals could afford to coast to the finish, the Jays gave up the division lead.

I don't think so....6 would have probably been perfect( just my opinion )...but it's not what's happening in the NHL right now. I think he's a real good player....douchebag...but still a good player.

I'll never forget that.

I've more or less come to terms with the Game 7 collapse. But what I'll hang onto from that series was this big, bad Bruins moniker that was absolutely destroyed when they were against the ropes and resorted to cheap stalling tactics, trying to sneak Chara on the ice after an icing, elbowing JVR in the nose, and a host of other puss moves. Completely invalidated their tough guy schtick that was always presented.

Yes, but that is the only way you get him at that price per season.
