Doubt he puts up many points; hasn't shown much at any level.
Trouba is way ahead offensively in the nhl - Tumbleweed
Put up decent numbers in junior
Dudes had one year in the show
Either way, to say nurse has no offensive upside is a laughable statement |

Does Trouba really still project to be a #1? I'm not entirely convinced even though he's pretty young. |

Agreed. Islanders and Hamonic as well. Also as an outside possibility...Ruotsalainen in Buffalo. Trouba is friends with Bogo and Routsalainin friends with Laine. Both in similar RFA quandry. - jetsnation
Isles won't deal hamonic for trouba. Hamonic is better, cheaper and rescinded his trade request. |

Risto is better than Trouba, this would never happen. What the Sabres really need is a #2 LH defenseman to play with Risto. |

It won't be, and can't be an equal trade.
Trouba wants to leave Winnipeg, and any other team has no reason or obligation to trade away their quality LHD young Dman.

I love how Philly's fabs don't if a deal would happen prov wouldn't be apart of it. The fact ia it would start with him then some. Also the deal would have to be bigger because Philly needs cap room to sign him after the trade. The oilers are in the best spot to land trouba, but the brass values Nurse to much right now, and Kleff is a wild card, but I think they want to see what they have in there players. Plus giving how they added Larsson, they will wait it out. My guess is Trouba gets moved to the Avs or Ducks. I don't know whats going on with ducks and their cap. Lindholm should already be signed. My out of this world thought is if PHX comes in these two teams pull off a big trade with many names going back each way. OEL ,Trouba deal. |

But what upside does nurse have? Not offensive at all, unlike trouba. - Tumbleweed
not like 21P Trouba
Trouba's got a big shot and is great at starting the rush, I don't know that I'd say he has big offensive upside. |

Well there's no reason to trade Trouba if there is no equal return. Let him sit or play in Europe. If the right player isnt coming back then play what they have. No loss no gain, unless a young gun gets a shot & impresses. |

So they want the same as Trouba back without the contract/attitude hassle or whatever.
yeah, that isn't happening. What possible motivation would the other team have to make a trade like that. - Aetherial
Exactly.
If I was Chevy I'd almost be tempted to let him rot for a year. |

Nurse may turn out to be a decent player … in a few years.
He may also turn out to be another jared cowen.
Nobody knows.
But if edm has an opportunity to move nurse plus another asset for trouba, then they should jump all over that upgrade for this season. |

I think we all understand that WPG would ask for Ivan but it's a non starter. Especially after the camp he is having right now. Too much potential to give up for a guy who projects to be a solid #2 or great #3. Don't get me wrong, Trouba would be great on the Flyers but we value Ivan more.

I can definitely say one absolute on this Trouba thing.. The Jets do not need anymore forward talent. They have a huge abundance of talent already and only a few spots available on third or fourth line at forward. Quite frankly any Trouba trade is likely to be sweetened by giving up a Dano, Burmistrov, Copp, Armia, or Lemiuex.
If I were Chevy I would definitely be angling for 22-24 yr old top 4 up and coming dman like a Provorov and then throwing in one or even two of those names to get it done. They can't possibly use all the forward talent they already have. Chevy will definitely also want a dman who will free and extra spot in the expansion draft. |

I agree we do not need any more forwards. I would not be offering Lemieux at all as we have no one like him ( agitator with top 6-9 potential )
but no way the Flyers agree to trading us Provorov by adding 1-2 guys you mentioned!! If you really want a guy like that, start talking about a bigger deal and consider including Ehlers or Connor cause it's those names that will have to be included not Dano, Burmi, Armia, Petan or anyone along those lines.

With this way this joke of a city is going I dont blame him.
Can get a (frank)ing concussion just driving to the damn rink.
Goofy pretty boy mayor is more concerned over fixing "the image" of Winnipeg instead the real issues. |
