^Pat Foley has been doing it for over 30 years with the Hawks and is in the NHL Hall of Fame for broadcasters. I love him, though some say he is not as good as he used to be. Eddie O. is fine as a commentator and does a lot of national games for NBC too.
The radio team is really good too, but I almost always watch on TV. - BDT36
Edzo is a poor color guy. Often goes off topic and goofs around too much with Foley. I know he tries to provide insight, but at times its very clear that he is trying to pitch his resume. It has been well known for years that Edzo has been itching to try and get into a front office gig, a-la the Tallon route. There are a lot of former NHLers that are color guys over the years and I am not sure I have heard anyone else try as much to sound like he is job interviewing on-air |

Had my fill of Tootoo please no more. Hinostroza should make the team his speed is a nice asset this team needs. Schamltz has the skill not sure it's all there yet though. Hartman is blah. One big hit. Can't handle the puck at all. |

^I do get annoyed when Eddie gets too goofy with Pat. I like Pat's sense of humor, but when they stop calling the game and yuk it up for two straight minutes, I dislike it.
Color commentators aren't as important to me as the play by play guy, so that's why I call Eddie fine and nothing more. I learn some things from him at times, and he is a former Hawk, which is cool. |

He could have been referring to the Blues since most of the roster tonight might as well be Wolves. |

Hinostrosa has speed but hasn't done much with it.
He'll have some extra motivation with both Schmaltz and Motte getting on the board because the way I see it, it's between those 3 and Kero for a top 9 spot at this point. |

I agree. Hartman looks really disappointing don't see anything there at all. I think Frosling has looked better on defense. It's nice seeing Campbell and Kempny in the backend. Both can skate with the puck. Think that's a dynamic we missed last year. |

He seems like the kind of guy Q likes to have on the team, kind of like Cirillo. I hope it is only one of he and Mash but I'm guessing it will be one of them. |

Almost seems as if Hartman is trying to do "too much." Maybe he is focusing too much on being the next "Shaw" and to make an immediate impact. Still preseason hockey, he has some time. Hartman needs to play simple, have a good forecheck, /'d go to the net. And most of all be disciplined. He has some skill and motivation, I wouldn't worry too much about him. |

Love how Hartman sold that sucker punch. He did get hit and his head flung back, but then he threw his head back a second time just to make sure the refs saw it. |

oh why not let start the never ending argument of illegal hits...
what was wrong with the hammy hit...the guy had the puck and lost it..hammy did not not run at him; he was with in about 15 feet when rattie had the puck...he loses it and lunges to regain control...kapow...
that's a 5 min major now...look like good open ice hit to me with the victim lunging with his head down.. |

Have to see it again, but didn't see anything terribly egregious...maybe shoulder, but StL player's head did appear down.
There were a lot of late hits, elbows, slashes & cross-checks....the usual Hitchcock stuff.
But punches, elbows and a steady stream of cross-checks are ok. Names change but one constant remains--Hitch |
