They should just play Du Hast. Rammstein is the best band from any of those countries. - flamminghead

Not hearing anything about the Leafs looking into a trade or a player is modus operandi if Lou is doing any wheeling and dealing.

I have a feeling the Maatta for Trouba rumors are going to fly around like crazy now. TIOPS is already bringing it up.
The idea makes sense on paper... at least to Pens fans who've soured on Maatta. I personally have not soured on Maatta, but I'd definitely make that trade.
Initially I felt Shattenkirk for Trouba seemed to make sense, but I remember that Shattenkirk is a righty.
I don't see what AZ(as tanner mentioned) could possibly offer that makes any sense.
I would have to think WPG wants a top-four dman, so that's going to limit what teams they can deal with. |

seriously... shouldn't Dallas be at the top of the list?
the could offer up a decent forward, rights to Nikuskin and a draft pick.
Trouba ends up in the US which is where he wants to be (understandable). - BorjeFan4Ever
I would imagine WPG will want a dman in return. |

They are at a strength of defence and it would not hurt them to trade Troubadour for a forward. Limiting the type of return when trading players is exactly why Edmonton's return for Hall was underwhelming and why the NYI could not trade Hamonic. They are just lucky that he recinded his request.

How about the unified teams national anthem at the 92 Lillehammer games? - Alexzanki
The Unified Team's anthem was the Olympic Hymn, and given that the World Cup is a fairly thinly disguised attempt at getting NHL players to stop playing in the Olympics, I imagine that wouldn't appeal to the powers that be. |

I think the only D the flyers would be willing to part with that maybe the jets would want would be Morin, Sanheim or Hagg, something involving 2/3 and some picks might work but it depends if winnepeg would want them. Flyers arent trading Ghost or Prov so thats a pipe dream. |

Cheering mad for Europe.. Neither team is a threat to Canada but it would be nice to see these outcast of other countries play for a championship.. They would never ever ever ever get that chance in the Olympics with their own country.
Sweden could beat Canada in a one game winner take all I guess.. They have the edge on defense and goaltending. And defense wins championships.. But 2 out of 3? Not a chance
Congrats Canada.. Once again. Canada owns hockey. And before jealous Americans post something back, who cares you own every other sport besides hockey tennis and lacrosse.
Kind of embarrassing though for you though. Canada has the population of one state in the US lol - QuickSCF Huh? While the gap has closed considerably, Team Canada is still better at every position than every other country in the world.
Hedman, Karlsson, and OEL are great, but Canada can ice two top 3s just as good. Doughty, Keith, Letang, Vlasic, Giordano, Burns, Pietrangelo, Brodie, Weber. Plus Ekblad, Parayko, Rielly, on the way.
I'm not sure what Swedish goalies you think make them the best nation there either. Lundqvist was number one for a long time, but he's sliding down a little bit.

It would be along the lines of Maatta and a second for Trouba.
It's a joke that Jets fans are trying to include Pulju for Trouba with Oilers fans, but equally bad a joke that you think they'll just package Laine in with Trouba for something else. |
