Bit of a rant to hopefully spice things up in here. Probably not, but hey.

First off, I'm not Andrew S. I'm not his dad, his uncle, or any other relative. It's funny, I give any kind of credit, and I'm either him or his "Dad". I give some criticism, nobody says a damn thing.

For the better part of my time here, I've been a lurker. Why? For the same reason this place becomes such a dead zone. Not due to content, but because this has become such a clique-ish thread, you're generally ignored or ridiculed if you speak up and say anything that doesn't tow the "party line". This makes this not only a frustrating place to try and join a conversation, but for those who might be shy, this thread is generally so damn hostile that you probably scare folks away, some of who may actually provide some good content and talk.

Maybe if half of you would take the sticks out of your collective asses, be a touch more welcoming to newcomers, and not fill this space with in-jokes all the time, we all may find this thread a bit more entertaining. I like most of you, to be honest, but not every thread has to be so full of vitriol that it turns off people.

There's a lot of Bruins fans. Also a lot of fans who just root for anyone the Habs are playing against. Some also keep an eye on the Avalanche. But I think more and more kids are starting to root for the Habs.

in my experience, a slim percentage root for the Avs
a bunch (maybe a fifth? or something) root for the Bruins
a good chunk of the rest (like me) picked a team and stuck with it
the other good chunk of the rest watch NHL hockey but don't have a fave team
and there are some who stopped watching NHL hockey altogether
