On a serious note, i see the Rangers selling at the trade deadline this year and starting over. I think its finally happening, where they dont have much in the way of prospects, not to mention Henrik is rapidly approaching expiration.

Rangers aren't selling anything until Lundqvist retires or, at the very earliest, his game falls apart.

I've been hearing that for a while now. I think he's still got some time left.

I watched only the Canada v US game and everytime they went to the US bench i was looking to see Cappy and which horrific neck tie he had on. He didnt make the TV once (that I saw). Was he actually on the bench???

I had no idea he was even a coach on that team.

I see them dumping Henrik at the deadline for picks and prospects......same with Staal.

Ideally: Zero

Realistically: I have no idea.

Purely guessing: He's 34, so I'd say 2-3 years left of being at-or-near the top of his game seems reasonable, with a steady (note: steady, not fast) decline coming after that. This is assuming he doesn't end up with some sort of joint injury that won't heal that well at his age.

I would literally bet everything I owned, everything my GF owned and every last penny and asset my parents own that he is not traded.

Maybe Staal, but nobody is taking that cyclops and his putrid contract.

I mean with that D they have in front of him, he's gonna be doing more work. Plus, most GMs manage their assets differently. Better to trade someone when he's got value as oppsed to waiting till the 23rd hour and get nothing.

I mean, he finished the season with 35 wins in 64 starts and a .920 sv%. That's not exactly a bad season.

Hank has a NMC, he isn't going anywhere.

No one is taking Staals contract
