Agreed - Flexingtheshaft
They did not lose to Tampa because of a lack of a guy like Trouba. A #1 wing or bust. |

I still think they make a play for one. To many question marks right now. I think we see something at the trade deadline.
Can barzal,ho sang and dal colle crack a top 6 spot?
What is grabos fate?
Can strome go back to a 50 point player?
Can parentau put up high end points next to JT?
I think once these answers become clear we see a move get made

Well Tampa totally outplayed the Isles and Hedman shut down JT.
You got your first line wingers Ses, Snow signed Ladd and PAP.
How the (frank) are the Rags going to fit Trouba under the Cap?
The Jets aren't looking for a high priced player. IMHO they are very much like the Islanders of old and have a budget that they are not looking to bust.

I don't se Gordon doing that at all.
Trouba gives them a young defenseman they need but who's playing forward?
Your giving up your future for what? Trouba isn't getting the Rags the cup.

Isles offense failed them bigtime. Even with Hedman, the Isles should have been able to take advantage of that banged up Tampa D. I does seem like the 1st line will be Ladd and PA with JT. I do not see the Rangers being able to add Trouba. I just do not think he makes sense for the Isles. |

This could be the year the Isles make a big move at the deadline especially if that 1st line struggles. I like Strome's chances of having a nice season. I do not like PA on that 1st line at all. That line is very slow and lousy on D with PA and JT. I'll take Barzal on the line right now over PA. |

Halak stole that game. Sweden has a 2 on 1 right before the OT goal |

Halak said he doesnt like the 3 goalie rotation
But to be honest it doesnt matter what he thinks. Its about the team and whats best for the team

I would trade him if it meant using the Cap space to add a #1 wing. I would not trade Halak just to end the 3 goalie thing and they will sit on the Cap space. |

Meh, finally we have 2 solid goalies to back stop this team so I'm not interested in moving him period. |

Isles can't carry 3 goalies this year, they'll need the roster spot for another forward. Berube is going to be sent to the ahl. nothing else makes sense. |

You're 100% right. Thats why i think we see a trade at the end of the pre season. But i think the trqde for the #1 winger comes at the trade deadline |

Edit: isles have 15 forwards including boulton and grabo. I think the signings of quine and prince are pushing bailey out the door. |
