I'm thinking the Danes and Norwegians could be a force in 4 years, or at least good enough to beat Torts and the United States of Abdelkader.

This is Laine's first go on the small ice. Angles are different and you lose a poop ton of time. He'll adjust...or fade away a la Magnus Punjabi-Svensson

Was I not calm with my typing???

And yes, I am saying Winnipeg made a mistake, my opinion, thought so back then and it's not from just 60m.

PS, when you're a mod then you can tell me to calm down, until then (frank) off.

I'm trying to save you some heartache by trying to get you to be at least a bit realistic. I don't care enough about you to not have my own agenda of course. The agenda being I'd prefer other teams fans have less trolling ammo based on this type of idiocy.

Oh and I wouldnt touch moderating this place with my 10ft pole.

At this point, I'd just like to see Zaitsev lay him out in the open ice. Just for poops n giggles.

Team Canada finally learned this valuable lesson in 2006. I guess it's taking some of the other countries longer to learn this.

Totally understand that point and it's valid.

But I've watched him play more than just this World Cup....not a lot but some....just don't see enough of the raw talent or speed for the NHL.

I've seen a few nice highlight goals but even Luke Schenn had one of those.

- underhill14

thats where a good coach comes in. line him up with guys who augment his playing style. make him a net crasher... give him roles where speed isnt the crucial part of his game.

Haha yep!

They should have learned it in 1998 though, so USA should be getting their poop together in about 2024.

Next go round will be Ron Wilson coaching with Torts as the assistant.

Well yes there was the Nagano debacle but we had a good team in 2002 and in 2004. But 2006 was a complete clusterpuck. Since then it's been smooth sailing. The 2010 and 2014 teams won and hopefully this 2016 team wins too. So far so good!

I agree a good coach and good line mates can make a real difference....Komarov got 20 last year.

Maybe I just don't like the kid and because of that can't see his talent. Let's revisit this in a couple years......
