I'd be pleased with 50 - 55. I'm also hoping to see a decent defensive game from him too. If he can put up a fair bit of points while also helping to keep the puck out of his own net, I'll be happy.

For Matthews? Yeah. I think 60 will be a reach for him in his rookie season.

Uh oh, sounds concerning. Not everyone is able to make the jump to the NHL and the Leafs haven't been so great at cultivating home grown talent. Toronto Sun better get down there and find out what's wrong. Babs is gonna have to earn his money, he didn't inherit a super power like he did in Detroit.

It's beautiful to look at, but it's about 15-20 years old and definitely has issues. If we were here longer those would drive us nuts. Still, there's lots of beautiful places in the area so we should be able to get something figured out

I look at it more as tempering expectations.

I'm hoping for about 50 points and solid two way play out of Matthews this year. That's still no small thing for a rookie player to achieve.

If he does even better, which I admit is very possible, then I'll be ecstatic.

i already am ecstatic.

hes not an ordinary rookie. so many factors play into why i think 50 is low. His maturity, experience, size, and IQ... Very rare
