Kessel didn't say anything about how the game was played.. .merely inferred that he should have been there. Players really have no reason to bark or be mad at him - comment obviously directed at management.

Probably not what the players want to hear right now, you'd think Phil would get that having been there. I just don't dig it, he should prove them wrong with his play like he did in the playoffs this year, let USA Hockey wear it on their own. I always defended Kessel, but I can't hang with this one.

Pretty lame tweet comments by Phil. He could've let taken the high road, let the results speak for themselves, and supported his countrymen who went out and played, some of whom pumped his tires the last time around when he was taking a lot of heat in TO. I get that it's a 'savage burn' and all that but it's also petulant sour grapes and classless. Lost a lot of respect for that guy.
