Bold prediction: I am not getting myself involved here 😄 |

The Flyers win the Division. How's that for Bold? Ridiculous? Maybe. I think Shawn Couturier ascends to the level of the elites, Vorachek rebounds (horrible unlucky season last year) and their D is filled with a ton of great prospects.
Not to mention Giroux, Simmonds and Schenn.
And Mason is one of the best goalies in the world.
Penguins will have a post-Cup drought to start the season, the Caps will never truly do anything with their defense and the door will be open to the Flyers to be the surprise team of the NHL this year.
Rangers missing the playoffs is not BOLD they will miss the playoffs, and would have in like four of the last five years if they didn't have the best goalie in the world, which they no longer do. |

But instead of missing the playoffs four out of the last five years, they went to three semi-finals and a Cup final. Not to mention a President's Trophy, which they won with Cam Talbot playing 30+ games.
They will make the playoffs again ... Does that qualify as a bold prediction?

What would Henrik Lundqvist do if he were here today, he'd kick a little ass or two, that's what Henrik Lundvist would do.

My predictions. Henrik Lundqvist will play on the Rangers again. The Rangers will make the playoffs again. The Devils will miss again. The Metro will have 5 teams in the playoffs again. It will be the same five teams again.

I think what may hamper the Rangers chances is the Atlantic possibly being more competitive.
Philly should be better than last year. Their start, just like PIT and ANA was likely an anomaly and should have a better showing.
I believe WSH, PIT and NYI are the top locks for the Metro and you'll see PHI and NYR duke it out for #4. If the Atlantic does in fact have a 4th playoff team this year, I think the Rangers could miss. |

they lost their 2nd and 3rd leading point producers
can't guarantee that Ladd, Chimera and Parenteau will fill those voids

he's going to be unbearable the day the Oilers do eventually make the playoffs. even if it's 3-4 years from now he'll be taking credit for knowing it all along. - DoubleDown
Nah that's not my style. You know that, or else all I'd talk about is how the Coyotes took my exact advice when they fired Maloney and revamped their team in an Analytics direction. |

Wait until Barzal wins the Calder, once he sheds that ball and chain they call Ryan Gropp.
Bold prediction: Mathew Barzal pulls down his pants and drops a hot doodycake right on Lundqvist's beautiful face |

Ladd, Chimera and Parenteau have all been consistent. I can't see why they would all of a sudden just drop off.
If anything, I think the Isles got deeper in scoring.
You also consider some of NYI's younger players being more developed. Their only real question mark IMO is goaltending, but it should be good enough to lock them into a playoff spot.
The Rangers have quite a few REAL question marks. |

Amazing how snakebit the Jackets are. Trade the Horton contract for a warm body and now the warm body has failed hi physical. |
