Dan I hate to say this but you are completely wrong calling the hit by Komarov on Ekblad questionable. It wasn't anywhere near questionable. It was a clean hit and unfortunately Ekblad must have fell and hit his head hard. I know you are a big diehard fan but sometimes it makes you sound a little ignorant. The NHL wasn't biased towards the Islanders in the FLA vs NYI series, the refs didn't think at all that Tavares would score on the other end. If they had known that would have happened I bet you that they would have called it. Barkov is a top center in the NHL but he isn't the best. That honor belongs to Crosby. Sure Barkov is a Top 20 center but definitely not number 1 (at least not yet). And finally the Komarov hit was clean. You are way too biased towards the Panthers and it's a big reason why your comment section is usually full of haters. You need to be more balanced in your presentation. On my Panthers website I have had to go back and edit stuff because it may have been very unbalanced and hurtful to others. You need to be more balanced or else the haters are going to get worse.

Is there insurance in this tournament for injuries? I thought one of the main problems with the Olympics was that they wanted all the NHL players to play, but expected the NHL to supply any insurance costs for the "privilege" of their players risking themselves in the competition.

Basically the Olympics wanted the NHL and players to assume all the risk and expenses while they (Olympics organization) benefited from their participation. It's about money, yes, but also about the corruption and sheer cheek of the Olympics committee wanting everyone else to throw away their resources for the gain of the Olympics committee.

The only thing the Olympics offers to anyone is the "glory of participation for their country and the individual". Well, that and the supposed wealth a country/city will rake in for hosting, even though most host cities/countries actually lose money now a days. One of the reasons everyone was declining the "honor" of hosting the next Olympics.

Hope Ekblad is ok. He is a phenomenal player and an important part of the Panthers.
You guys have an exciting young team to watch these days and should be pleased with your management for their hard work and foresight.

I hope Reimer can find his groove in Florida. He is a wonderful person from all reports and likely a great presence in the locker room.
I'm unsure if he has what it takes to be a true #1 goalie, but perhaps in Florida he can grow into that role. It was difficult to accurately assess his abilities in T.O. as for most of his tenure there the team in front of him was terrible, thus making him look terrible. I'm sure the T.O. media didn't help the situation as they had turned on him like they do many decent players, ex. Kessel. A change of scenery and a good young team to play with (not to mention a great vet in Luongo to set an example) could be just what he needs.

Sorry Dan, but Reimer has proven over the years to be a good goalie. An excellent acquisition for the Panthers I agree, but right now there is no single team in the NHL who would take Reimer over their current #1.
