I'm gonna disagree. I know you detest him, but...

He's big. And fast.

Not sure he'll have the same scoring touch as Lindros though.

But there's no doubt he'll be a star in Toronto.

well regular season? yes that is better. playoffs is worse but smaller sample size. you're lying to yourself if you don't think Pacioretty is a better player than Ryder was.

Pacioretty doesn't have Gallagher's heart but he's the top scorer on that 3rd-4th liners team!

I'm saying both are from the same mould. Decent scorers but never gonna take a team to the next step.

Isnt it kind of apples and oranges?

Pacioretty has mostly had DD as a center, I think Koivu was a bit better. The other wing has rotated but lets just say Gallagher or Gionta for simplicity. In comparison Ryder had Kovalev on the other side.

I dont think Pacioretty is a lot better than Ryder, but the comparison isnt really fair. Different coaches, systems and players. If Pacioretty didnt get the C, he wouldn't be critiqued nearly anywhere near what he is now. Hes still the same player, 30+ goals, 60+ points, boring as (frank).

Weber will hopefully be entertaining in his own way. Looking forward to watching him lay a few people out.
