Seems like he wanted to fight Weber - _nay_
It's not like Weber is a great fighter, but he would still kick Tampatch's ass. |

Most NHL players do. They just don't all scream about it from rooftops. |

if you're referring to Subban... he was trying to help a hospital raise money. not sure the quiet approach is the best way to do that. |

But they don't give ten (frank)ing millions of dollars.
That people find anything negative about it baffles me. Y'a des limites à être des criss de chialeux jamais contents. |

That the players voted for Pacioretty as the Habs' candidate for that community trophy was a disgrace.

I agree. Not saying this one should have been anonymous. But people will always find something bad to say about any situation. |

He's slow. He sucks. He's old. Subban is better. Awful trade. They should "of" kept Subban. |

i guess in hindsight there were some telling statements about how the team felt about Subban, between that and the captaincy |

This team is in some deep, serious trouble. I think it's time to confront that fact.
They trade the guy who should have been wearing the C, a puck-moving and dynamic defenceman who is working into his prime for an all-star blue-liner with a bomb of a shot. But Weber, as a captain, could never galvanize a team that was very good and never hit its full potential, and if anyone is going to find himself fading in a speedier league, it's going to be him. Also... there are certain questions about what motivated the Habs to move Subban, and no one really wants to address the inherent discomfort in all that.
They are getting the best goalie in the world back between the pipes. But they shouldn't have dangled him all last season. Price clearly needs surgery and proper rehabilitation. Right now, he's a gamer who wants to play, and management hangs their hat on him. Which means he's a serious injury risk this season, and it's the kind of thing that can end his career.
Bergevin ought to be both ashamed of himself and fired immediately. Actually, he should have been fired more than a year ago. This is a once-proud franchise that is being driven into the ground by incompetence and a GM's ego. He has no idea what he's doing, and for that you can blame dumb ownership.
As for Therrien: I'd be willing to wager big money that you're damned right he disparaged Pacioretty.
Then again... in doing so, he was also right.
