I really dont think Schneider will ever get the respect he deserves. A lot can change but Bishop is younger, his NHL team wins more, so I see him being the favourite particularly if they look to replace Quick next Olympics.

Then you gotta think Gibson, Hellebuyck, and eventually Demko are the next to take over the crease for USA

I just hope he becomes everything the Canucks and their fans, me included, want him to be. Just for perspective, look at the amount of really good young goaltenders taken early in the draft and the don't pan out, not saying he won't, just saying a good junior/college career doesn't guarantee an NHL career.

Lots of time for it to go sideways, like it did for Jack Campbell, but seeing as he was a part of the USA's World Championship and the pedigree he already has I think he would be a part of the team by 2022

Also Quick's 2 game save percentage was .862, big game experience right there!

No one talks about how great the Sedins are playing for guys 36 years old.... seems to me people complaining about them still being the canucks top line don't understand that they are still the best Swedish forwards in the game.

Just my opinion but I think the majority of the complaints are that there's no one in the near future pushing them out of that position, not that they're still the first line players. Which lends itself to the poor drafting during the previous administrations.

Nothing can be done about that, just gotta start building thru the draft again. The Sedins are fine right where they're at for the next two years.

heck, look at all the vezina winning goalies who flamed out shortly thereafter. it's a volatile business and even more so at that position.

i had a nice chuckle at grapes talking about how "smart" and "disciplined" crosby has been this tourney and the playoffs by not retaliating for all the cheap hits/hacks etc. cherry talking about how that's what you have to do rather than let others (kesler, thornton et al) throw you off your game.

oh yeah, sedins are pu$$ys though.
