Wtf? Why would they do that? - markmark
Well considering Bergevin seems to be in a "win now" mode... it's not impossible he'd rather have a guy he knows can play first pairing with Weber instead of taking a chance on Beaulieu being ready.
Or maybe he's just ready in case Sergachev is spectacular at camp....

Every GM is listening when other GM call. Looks like Bergevin wants to upgrade the D and Beaulieu might have to be sacrificed to do so. Will it happen...most likely not...like most trade discussions GMs have.

I just don't see any way that makes sense cost wise. No one is giving up a sure thing 1st pair player for a maybe good defenseman.
The + that would have to accommodate Beaulieu would probably make whatever they get in return a bad trade.
(But watch, it will be MTL trades him to EDM for Eberle or Leon )

Habs need a LW to play in the top 6 and a top 4 D to play with Weber. Habs have little cap room left so don't expect a trade....very hard to do when you have to balance the cap.
tickets for Leafs rookie tournament are about $12.50 and the games are maybe 1/2 to 2/3 of the lower bowl full in Bud gardens. They don't sell upper bowl tickets that's where the management/staff and scratched players sit.

I could be wrong but for some reason I believe kids going to NCAA can't play in these kind of tournaments? That would explain greenway. Korchkov and Bobylev have already played a few games in the KHL this season. I couldn't even find a single thing on that other guy the Swedish kid they took at 56 must be staying there I'd assume too. - ClarksonDavid
...Swedish kid is playing in the World Cup, I think. But what the (frank) to I know
