Same, an eventual LTIR for a defenseman we don't want. 1.65 more cap for having lupul, but it isn't for a full season. I just don't see what TML does it because they don't need the cap once LTIR players kick in. - Retinalz
Maybe there planning a big trade, if we can get some off there assuming high picks for taking on that little of salary and possibly open up a spot for Pedan? |

If we got Rychel out of it then def worth it. we have nobody to spend that cap on, and lupul will be out with injury within a month. |

Edler is great when replays with a chip on his shoulder. |

Could you put Lupul on LTIR? He has two yrs left at 5.25m. Sounds about right to move Sbisa's contract but I'm not sure I would do it if was just a 2nd. |

Bingo. Markstrom was still a raw talent after years floundering in a poopty system in Florida. That may have been Luongo's fault since they had a good one and maybe expected goalies to just "figure it out".
He has made enormous strides in the last 2 years in the Vancouver system. That is a testament to the goalie coaching in both Utica and Vancouver.
Sadly East Coast fans (who go to bed too early) remember the Florida Markstrom. He is a different player now due to good coaching and hard work. Position-ally he is extremely solid and uses his size well and is seldom out of position.
There is a big difference between a "hockey" fan and A "team" fan. Good for you for dressing down one who is obvious the latter. - PuckShack
plus he's barely out of his rookie season. What do these people expect? |

2 for 1 pay more and get the same production - VANTEL
Pulijaarvi will be on an entry level deal and Hall and Lucic were only 10 pts apart. Plus McJesus should be another 40 pts along this year so I'm not convinced EDM is concerned about losing Halls production. Let's face it EDM got pretty damn lucky with that draft selection with CLB taking Dubois. Basically a player who can step in next season (pulijarvi) and contribute which made someone expendable…turned out to be Hall. |

Before Edler's back injury and two suspensions for "suspect" hits, he was one of the best the Canucks "D" core has ever seen, in fact, he'll probably end up at the top in terms of offensive output.
He's 21 points from 300 and 46 from tying Ohlund for 1st place in Canucks history. He'll probably get it done in the next three years. |

It was just a joke. You don't have to rush to Edler's defence every time someone has a little laugh at his expense.
Two certainties: Washyleaf will show up as soon as the Leafs are mentioned and you'll show up as soon as someone takes a dig at Edler. |

If any truth to the Lupul deal then I'd think one more deal is needed on forwards.

I'm not rushing to his defense, just speaking the truth about him. The guy definitely has his brain fart's but the fact remains he does it all for the Canucks.
Just too bad they haven't had a true top guy during his years in Vancouver. |

We should trade Tanev, Edler and Sbisa and play Biega, Subban and Stetcher. Their transition into the top 4 should be seamless |
