I said this before. Nilson will be the backup, but if (more likely "when") Lehner goes down to injury, Ullmark will be doing the heavy lifting.

Good god no.

There's a reason that everyone's always trying to get rid of Sbisa....because he's not very good.

I've seen him bounce from Philly to Anaheim to Vancouver.

Goaltender
Anders Nilsson
Linus Ullmark
Jason Kasdorf
Robin Lehner

Lehner should stay pretty healthy as long as he's 4th string

He's also probably never been posted up in front of the net his entire playing career before Buf. Can't be many apples hanging out in front of the net, but you can slam home some goals from there. Just an observation of where he was on the PP, and remembering some of his goals. If he moves to the half wall, I think you'll see that playmaking ability on display more, with the assists skyrocketing.

I was so surprised at how well he played in that spot last year. I never would have thought he'd be successful there. But he went there, took a beating night in and night out, and managed to pot a good amount of goals from that spot. Would be nice if they could find another guy that would be good there and on the half wall so they can rotate them around out there some and cause some more confusion for the other team.

Love the positivity here!

Lehner has had 2 injuries.

Need a player that can maneuver and get a shot off from the slot . Haven't had one of those players in a long time .

Looks about right to me
Maybe even a few more helpers,
especially if he ends up playing center at all

I think if he sticks with Eichel this year, you'll see it go back and forth quite a bit. Both are used to the center position but have played wing as well. I think Eichel has a bit more finish, so I would expect that we'll see him with more goals, and in many of those cases, Reinhart will probably end up with an assist of some sort.

This is one of those weird scenarios where the winger gets more assists than the center.

That all makes sense
We'll see if they stick together though
I think Bylsma will continue to shift guys around a little
Okposo has played both wings I believe
Ennis & Girgensons have played all 3 forward positions, as has Nylander, although he's most likely in Rochester for the year

There's a lot of flexibility up front

He seems to like figuring out pairs of guys that work well together. A lot of it will also depend on injuries throughout the year.

Yeah...
I just don't know that anything is "set" just yet
Reinhart looked good wherever he played
O'Reilly seemed to struggle to score without Sam
And at some point Reinhart could get moved back to center too

As much as I hate to say it bc he's such a nice guy,
But we need to find a way to get Moulson off this team
Need that Cap space

Maybe we get lucky and he plays more like he did prior to last year. That would be nice. Since we can't really unload him to anyone else.

Maybe he can score enough that we can sucker some team into taking him

Depends. He has some sort of NTC. I'm pretty sure it's a limited one. I would think if he has the opportunity to go deep in the playoffs though, he'd waive.

Would be nice in some ways. Like Fitz said, it sucks to say it because he is a really nice guy. But you have to do what's best for the organization.
