More disappointing is that they Blues charge me full price for two pre-season games where 1/3 to 1/2 of the NHL roster will be at the world cup of hockey. Complete BS.

I've had my doubts since day one when his agent was speaking for him and nothing had come directly from him. Then the coaching change for his KHL team. Omsk has insisted all along that he would be back for the next season. I thought he had an opt out clause but he is their captain. We as the NHL lost Kovalchuk to the KHL, now it seems there are trying to possibly use Sobotka as a tool later on to keep players from leaving to come to the NHL. I might be thinking too much into it but that could be in play.

We honestly don't need Sobotka, if or when he comes back i'll probably like him a little better but he is not a top 6 player and is BARELY a top 9 if at all. Hime demanding more ice time in the previous contract dispute was stupid. He was playing with Tarasenko and Schwartz for a while and still could not produce. Thats saying enough right there

Training camp is only like 3 weeks and they play 6-8 games in that time?? Thats crazy. Thought camp had already opened by now.

Apparently Sobotka is having difficulty getting out of his KHL deal which goes against everything said about that deal. So it looks like he is not coming back. That means a nice chunk of cap space oened up.
