He's not even saying that Matthews is gonna have a bad year or anything, so if they get upset about him saying that it's because they have a fear he won't be as good as they hope. I'm interested to see how Matthews does. I'm also intrigued by the idea of Eichel and him going head to head multiple times a year for the foreseeable future.

For sure. There was definitely a big part of me that didn't want Toronto to get Matthews, but at the same time, the thought of the rivalry heating back up is what made me not super upset about it.

I normally think Wyshynski is a bit of a dolt, but he got this one right. Even if he did lift almost all of it from Friedman.

Ennis is a multi 20goal scorer
So if we make that deal...

For sure. There was definitely a big part of me that didn't want Toronto to get Matthews, but at the same time, the thought of the rivalry heating back up is what made me not super upset about it.

its not really his predictions so much as it is straight numbers. Theoretically, and not considering a major addition (Ostinko) we apparently will be 2nd worst in goals for and against.

And you're kidding yourself if you think the TO/BUF relationship the last 5 or so years minimum can be considered a rivalry. Neither team has been very good which has hurt it so much so it's barely a blip on anyone's radar anymore.

Add in two premier players and it should help heat things back up, big time.

And we got screwed and should have picked 1st and gotten McDavid. We still got screwed more than Arizona did.

And yes, the rivalry even among fans isn't anywhere near the same as it used to be. Both teams being more competitive will certainly help that.
