That ride to the final was so incredible and then it seemed in the blink of an eye we were down 3-0 in the series

it's just so many times in that Kings series all we needed was one goddam goal and he had the chance to do it so many times, it still kills me

I don't really remember the officiating too much so you could be right. All I remember are the blown leads, Nash's shot getting deflected in OT as per the YouTube video, and Quick turning god mode. I swear Quick saved like 5 or 6 WIDE OPEN back door goals with like the heel of his stick out of nowhere.

Seemed like destiny the Rangers would lose that series

I think it'll hurt forever to be honest

He was very good hockey player with or without that 2007 goal vs us. Won a Cup w the Av's, Captained a few different teams, had a great pedigree. Not his fault Sather went batty & gave him that deal & it didn't work out.

Loved Drury and was thrilled to have him on the Rangers. He needed a pair of these.

My original recollection was that Nash waited a beat too long on one-timer, but watching it again, he released it immediately. If low to the ice, he scores. If an inch higher, he likely scores.

Nobody was going to beat the Kings that year, that's why the loss to you guys didn't sting as much as it should have.
