He is going to be suspended, who knows how many games. He is aging, and Shaq will be back week 6 and take his spot anyway. So if he were to be suspended for 2 games, really we are only losing him for 4 games by cutting him.
You actually caught me looking at player ratings for NHL 17 and it was on the mind, there was no rhyme or reason to the order.
And I heard that Lawson was facing a 1 game suspension, but didn't know about the injury. With Ragland out already it shocked me to see an OLB going. The Gronk for Felton switch...who knows, but I bet when I see the roster I can find 3 players I'd drop over an injured suspended Lawson. He looked great in preseason to me...I mean is Raymond Humber better?

Rex did say that other players might be available that we pick up and drop another player. So that could be why we kept that guy, that might get cut anyway.
The most interesting issue this raises for me is where these players will be NEXT year.
I think we're going to be good this year but next year were going to romp.

O'Reilly remains similar
Okposo drops 25
Risto moves up 120 spots
Lehner remains similar
Stinkhart moves up 120 spots
Kane drops 100 spots
If your league counts hits shots pim, don't move kane down too far.. he's still good for around 100. Delivers goals (ish) shot pim hit

My brother in law became pretty good friends with Manny when he signed here. I've hung out with him a few times, he came to my kids baptism.
He's a great guy. My brother in law talked to him not too long ago. His injury really set him back but there is a pretty good chance he stays in Buffalo. - Stripes77

So would Girgs be more or less likely to be traded with his contract? Or was this a 'show me' statement by Murray and you'll get a longer term deal next year if you perform? - mhp
I think it's all of the above. He'll be more valuable to other teams given his cheap celery, especially if he plays well. Might be able to pry a decent haul from a team looking to make a run that doesn't have a lot of cap space. And if he doesn't get moved then we can always re-sign him or let him go. Tons of options.
