I kind of like how the Leafs have a tradition of not making numbers sacred, they should just let Marner wear 93. Or is the idea now that all rookies get randomly assigned numbers because they haven't earned it yet? Don't want to make the elite rookies seem like they get to pick a number and other guys don't, who knows. You get a bunch of guys arguing over who gets to be Mr. Black.
