Here's a question.

Everyone is worried about our goalie situation ending in 1 going for free to Vegas.

So, Vegas has to draft 3 goalies & hang onto them - no trading any expansion draft selections correct?

So hypothetically, we get a trade involving Flower before the draft & protect Murray. Bishop is going to FA more than likely & Vegas will probably pick someone else especially if there's 1 of their high end F available. So neither Bishop or Flower will be at Vegas but they still have to draft 3 goalies. In doing that they probably can't aquire Bishop in FA then they would have 4 goalies. So, it appears to me Vegas are going to have to take lower end goalies & keep them if I remember the rules correctly??

That does bring up an interesting point. Let's say Vegas does snag Bishop or another top goaltender in Free Agency. They will not carry four goaltenders and must send two down to their minor league affiliate. Does that expose them to waivers and therefore can be reacquired by their original team? Or anyone else for that matter.

I would assume that all the players they pick in the expansion draft are automatically waiver exempt. But I don't know that.

and two of those suspensions were more than 20 games, including an all-time high 41. Yep, what a great player. Dude shouldn't have the chance to continue playing based on his history.

Everyone loves to get on the high horse when talking about guys like Raf. I think its just that they go to hard. The whole 110 percent thing actually sank in for them and accidents happen. Hockey is dangerous and violent. Watch football if you don't like it.

So did the Penguins sell their leftover "Vegas Gold" material to the Flyers for their new jerseys? Jesus gold/orange/black is a terrible combination.

Yes that would be the case. There aren't going to be many good goalies for Vegas to pick from as it stands. That's why we think its pretty much a given they take Murray unless he suddenly becomes a lemon this coming season. Sure, Murr might not be a top goalie in this league right now, but he seems like he's a pretty acceptable starter already, is super young, and has the potential to be elite from the looks of it. With no really good established goalies in danger of being exposed, Bishop an impending UFA allowing them to protect Vasey and, and Andersen traded out of Anaheim, Murray would easily be the most attractive goalie available. They can you their second goalie pick on an established back up and their third on a promising prospect like Malcom Subban.

I think you're bypassing the fact that they won't be keeping all 3 goalies and all 30 drafted players on the NHL roster. My guess is that at least 1 of the 3 goalies drafted will be a prospect that is going to play in the AHL. If they wanted to not draft Bishop and wait to take a run at him in FA then they could easily just draft 1 solid NHL goalie and 2 prospects that will be sent down, then if they strike out on Bishop they sign a mid-tier guy to battle the mid-tier goalie they drafted in the expansion draft. Personally I think they used strongly consider drafting Bishop as 1 of their 10 unsigned players and then throw big money at him to be the cornerstone of the franchise.

I'm not sure about a rule protecting all players as waiver exempt but I would assume that LV would have an overall plan in place before the expansion draft that included their plan of what players they wanted to pursue in FA, so if they know before the draft that they want to pursue Bishop in free agency then they draft 2 prospect goalies that are waiver exempt to prevent that from being an issue. LV is going to have a general idea of what they want the team to look like when the season starts before they ever start to construct the roster.
