Yes, can throw Baptiste out of there as from everything I read he took a step back this year in his progression. I also think Bailey has surpassed Fasching.
- RhinoFan

I think he Baptiste had a rough start but finished strong
This will be a big year for him
Idk that he'll ever be a top6 guy with us...
But he has speed, some scoring ability & can be a little feisty at times
Could be an ideal 4th liner who can maybe move up when injuries occur

I don't see him being a 4th liner on this team as it seems they have a very clear view of what a 4th line winger should be. I think he is either top 9 or he is a career AHLer.

TE, Hillman and Giant D

grab the rams D, washington or coleman for rb, or the other back up bronco back instead of hillma

grab jared cook instead of tamme

then you get an A

You know even going into this summer I thought of Baptiste as the better NHL prospect between him and Bailey...was wrong. I agree he still has talent and could crack an NHL lineup in the future, but for our top 10 I think Petersen's stock has surpassed his at this point. I thought of him as a potential top6-top9 tweener...now I think 4th liner with scoring touch. Petersen could be a long term answer at tender. Think that is more valuable is all.

Corey Pronman's top 10 Sabres prospects:

1. Alexander Nylander, RW (11)
2. Rasmus Asplund, C (101)
3. Brendan Guhle, D
4. Hudson Fasching, RW
5. Justin Bailey, RW
6. Cliff Pu, C
7. Will Borgen, D
8. Giorgio Estephan, C
9. Nick Baptiste, RW
10. Linus Ullmark, G

Cal Peterson has to be at least 9th, doesn't he?

- Slump Buster

IMO it's a toss up for ullmark, pettersen, and johansson

baptiste needs to be part of a trade

from what I hear, he has no shot to make the big club anytime soon based on the last 12 months

What do u think our "clear view of a 4th line winger" is?

Seems to me that it's still a work in progress putting certain types of players into particular roles

I'd bring back legwand and sign davy jones

that gives you 4 guys that will make a decent 4th line and each can move up if needed

Your assessment of Baptiste seems pretty accurate to me
This season is big for him
If he can net 25 in Roch,
then maybe he's back on track to be a possible top9 guy

Peterson could very well end up being our future #1
It's just so tough to project goalies
Right now,
I've got Ullmark ahead of him
But that could very well change
I wanna see what Peterson can do against Pros
Need to get the kid signed

Got it . Would be tough choice . Legwand has the upper hand based on looks.

Face of the franchise.

I'd rather take the chance on someone young possibly being the long-term answer. Legwand looked his age last year.

Idk if that's their ideal 4th line winger,
Or if that's just the talent we have right now

Guys like Legwand & Moulson spent a lot of time on the 4th line last year

If Bailey & Nylander work out as planned,
I could see next season's 4th line looking something like...
Foligno-Larsson-Girgensons
But as Foligno & Girgs get too expensive for that role,
I could see something like this too...
Carrier-Larsson-Baptiste

Regardless...
Idk that we've had enough time with Murray & Bylsma yet to know "the plan" going forward
Seems to me like they're still trying to shape the line-up to their liking

With the NHL getting faster & faster,
A guy that skates like Baptiste will get a shot at some type of role w us

Who do u move out though?
And we just dumping them for the highest pick we can get?
Idk if guys like Foligno, Girgensons, Deslauriers, etc have much value
