Put Franson on the 1st pp, that's what he's good at...great shot / great pass...slower then (frank)...so don't throw the puck into his skates

I thought he looked pretty good in TO...but I'm one of the few. But the league probably does go right at him as they know he has trouble turning and getting up to speed. But in TO he almost always got the puck on net or made a real nice pass.

I don't think they'll put the "C" on his jersey. Like when Luongo was captain of the Canucks they didn't put the "C" on his jersey.

Edit: I stand corrected. I guess they will put the "C" on his jersey. Maybe it's just an NHL thing where they don't.

Yeah, with Eichel and Risto manning the points on the 1st PP Franson has no chance, other than injury, to play 1st PP minutes. Maybe spot duty here or there to mix things up; we all know how coaches love to mix things up lest players actually get comfortable with each other. Can't have that.

Simply put, offense is his forte and skating is not. Still I hope he goes at the deadline. I think we should be able to get a mid round pick for him, take the money and run.

He's better than Mike Weber, but he has Weberish tendencies sometimes...
