Better than hallfan
As far as Richards, I guess if he signs for league min.
But he belongs nowhere over a 4th line role at best.
Any ideas of putting Leon at wing and playing him or letestu at 3c ain't wise
We've got 3 dynamic centers that are going to stretch teams thin. Let's use it - HB77
Only issue I have is that I don't know if Draisaitl can carry wingers like Maroon and Yak. |

Big NO to Richards. His game has fallen right off with his foot speed. Plus with all of his drug issues and age we just don't need the extra headaches. But I will take his oxy's however |

Agreed. Certainly a concern
I've mentioned it a few times that I kinda get why people wanna see a super line of Connor/lucic etc .
But I think it's wise to insulate Leon with those higher end players and saddle Connor with those two. At least on paper at first and see if Connor can continue to produce with lesser linemates |

So...
Lucic-Draisaitl-Eberle
Maroon-McDavid-Yak
Pouliot-Nuge-?

Pretty much exactly
Puljujarvi on that 3rd line right wing
I understand the apprehension of not rushing him and he can always be sent down of course.
But he's the goods and a true bluechipper that could make the jump immediately.
Been tough to shake off that hall trade, but having pulju fall into our laps like that has softened the blow |

I think Pulj will make it. He's already got NHL size and speed. Don't really want to rush the kid into the lineup if he's not ready but it will be hard to keep him out. Kassian could fill the spot if he gets sent down. Not really any other options at this point. |

As of now he does appear to be the best available option. |

I'm actually really curious to see how Kassian does this year. Dud looks like he has his poop in order and appears to be in much better shape than last year. I'm hoping for 15 goals. |

Yep
Him, slepyshev, caggiula (?)
If go with him for sure. Even if slep might be a little more nhl tested, I think some marginally lesser minutes being insulated by 2 very solid two way guys like nuge and poo is pretty much ideal
And if he struggles, no stress. Send him down .
Either way, from what I've seen and checked out, I'm supremely confident he's gonna be a great nhl'er at some point.
Was funny to watch Chiarelli almost sprint to the podium when he realized cbj passed on him |

I can see Draisatl being dropped to RW and you guys bring in a 3rd line Center to play the spot. |

I've seen some hate for him and I don't really get it
At worst he's a decent physical 4th line pest.
At best he's a physical presence in a top 9 role that can skate alongside quality players
I'm glad to have him |

Everything about Leon's game screams western conference centermen
Esoecially since the other two don't possess those attributes really at all
But he can certainly play wing in spot duty/pp/late in games etc |

Slep is a left winger- my bad (I assume in a pinch he can play the right side if needed though)
And I don't know sh1t about drake, but he shoots left and I'm sure the inside stick works on the right wing regardless of his natural position |

Precisely my concern, but I don't think we need to full on cater Leon the absolute best linemates. I maintain that everyone of the Cs should get one of our vet producers and one of our question marks.
Pouliot- McDavid- Yak
Maroon- RNH- Eberle
Lucic- Draisaitl- Kassian
Lander- Letestu- Pakarinen
*Note: All the top three lines get equal ice time in this scenario |

Slappy can and has played both wings. Seems more comfortable at LW, but playing your offside in the NHL is a different animal than any other league. Particularly on international ice surfaces, playing your off-wing is more manageable due to having extra space to work with. In NA, he might be better off sticking to RW.
Also, I've heard that Caggiula has experience at C in college and that they might start him there. |
