Hey man, I only said he's not on the same tier; never said where that tier was. He's OBVIOUSLY on his own tier above all others and is so far removed that it wouldn't even be fair to call him a defenseman anymore. Larsson is love; Larsson is life. - MaximumBone
Very true. But he isn't a very sexy name for that very reason, nor has he had any significant playoff experience like the rest.
Hence he gets passed up. - Wildschwein
Oliver-Ekman-LARSSON.
There is already a Swedish player on the roster with the name Larsson, so your first point is invalid (unless you are refering to first name's, but even then, half of the swedish defenders first names sound like queer names).
Oliver-Ekman-LARSSON.
There is a player with NO playoff experience at all on the Swedish Roster as well, therefore your second point is invalid as well.
Also, Laughs could actually use this line pairing and be damn proud to do so:
Don't get me wrong, Lindholm is a beast of a defender, but I just feel that Klefbom is turning out to become the better complete defender.
I just hope Klefbom continues that trend into this season as well. - EdmHockeyMan
What you might be missing is that Lindholm has posted better numbers than Klefbom in almost every capacity and done so while being a year younger. He's as close of a comparable to Lidstrom as I can think of among Dmen. As much as it may pain me, Lindholm is superior to Klefbom as a hockey player currently and offers (arguably) higher upside.
If I'm being completely honest, the main reason I take it right now is due to the concerns surrounding Klefbom's durability. If not for that, I'd take Klefbom's better contract and more rugged style over Lindholm.

Be careful how often you speak the name of the usurper brother HockeyMan, for the heretics among us shall receive no quarter nor mercy from the faithful.

The only thing that concerns me about Klefbom is that very thing. His injury history to date in both the AHL and NHL is concerning.

You'd be wise to not disturb our court with the name of the usurper here. If you wish to repent, pray to an idol of the holy foundation of Hjalmarsson and Karlsson (the Yin and Yang). With their holy blessings, you shall be enabled to ascend the pillars (of Klefbom, Hedman, and Lindholm) back into the light of our saviour, Larsson (praise be unto him).
