and what exactly is WRONG about refusing to do the pledge
This isn't a police state
We all get to choose whether or not we want to participate

He's not inciting violence or anything
Kap is just saying,
"Hey, I'm gonna sit this out. And this is why..."

- jdfitz77

49ers have every right to cut him for that

nfl has every right to make a rule where you can't do that

If everyone is doing what they're suppose to and "respecting" a flag, how did someone notice Kaepernick seating? The irony of it all.
- Mentalorgasm5

he did it 2 weeks in a row

they never caught it the first time

did they have it on camera for the game this past week?

Idk what u mean
How's it make him seem lazy?

- jdfitz77

If I was watching with the sound down . Saw everyone standing with their hand on their chest . I would know whats going on. Seeing him sitting there would be a WTF Get your lazy ass up and respect our countries national anthem. There are people in wheelchairs that try and get up even though they cannot. If it wasn't for the people who fought for our countries freedom he wouldn't be where he is today. Seems a bit more ethical to stand for them than sit for the ones fighting among themselves and blaming everyone else .

Yeah life IS hard for Black criminals as they have the same rights as do the law abiding citizens according to Kap. Amazing how this country has somehow adopted this dialog that criminals are now the victims. Here's the facts .......... if you are Black and you wake up in the morning, leave the house with a weapon, commit a crime and fight the police ............ chances are you are gonna get f'cked up. Good I say. When did crime become acceptable in this country?
- fastek

Yes black criminals have the same rights as law abiding citizens. So do white criminals, Latino criminals and those (frank)ng Inuit. You should check out your 14th Amendment. It's one of the better ones.

Agree or not,
That's what makes this country great
That we all have the right do that & not be fined or fired

- jdfitz77

I'd rather see the people who have a problem with what he did leave this country, than Kaepernick. They clearly don't understand the subject matter.

I lost 3 family members in recent wars

I don't think it's too much to ask to respect the flag and anthem

Then again the younger generation doesn't respect sh!t

The problem is that subject matter is built upon lies. The use blacks are treated unfairly when it comes to police issues when the entire BLM was started when a black man tried taking the gun of a police officer after a struggle. The hands up don't shoot was a bunch of bull.

Like I said if he wants to talk about wage differences, education differences, or hiring practices I am all ears, but he's not.

I'd be more on board if he said something of substance as opposed to "black people are treated unfairly" after all the rioting and such. Give me something you want to change and I'll listen.

What if you believe they were unnecessary wars and your family members didn't need to die in them? Do you still need to respect the flag and anthem? Or are you unpatriotic unless you support the choice to go to war no matter what?

He is disrespecting the people he is "fighting" for...its laughable

Here's my carefully considered view:

Before we focus on a guy who is sitting down during the anthem for a reason, making a conscious decision after thinking about it, let's take a moment to teach respect to those asswipes who won't stop for a moment during the anthem to: take advantage of short lines at the beer stand; take off their hats; at least stop talking to the rest of the asswipes in their group; move closer to their seats; etc.

I don't know if he's doing the right thing, but at least he recognizes he might be doing the wrong thing. The other idiots are the ones that are really killing this country.

Or u could say he's honoring those ppl who fought so that he could have this freedom
Like I said,
He's doing this for an actual reason
Not bc he's playing on his cell phone or something

Private citizens, private companies, and private groups can regulate speech as they damn well please. Only Governments are limited from denying freedom of speech
