the thing about freedom of speech and rights to avoid the flag

it does not prevent you from losing your job in the private sector

- homiedclown

it also doesn't prevent others from using their freedom of speech to give backlash

you have no clue if that cop even saw that this guy was black.. he may have just picked one car to make an example of and it just so happened to be a black man.. but i think another note.. when pulled over he was polite and listened and only got a warning.

yes there are bad cops and crazy racist people.. but there are crazy racist people on both sides of this coin. one is just stirring the pot more lately and sadly has more of the power at the end of the day

if he was a fan, agreed

he is representing his city, treat it like the military

- homiedclown

But why treat it like the military?
I don't see why it has to be taken that far

It's not like he's "disrespecting" the flag or the anthem
He's choosing to sit to draw attn to an issue he's concerned about
It's not like he's going around the sidelines playing Pokemon w Gerbe

I didn't know many black people until about 10 years ago.

The guy I met since, and whose family I got to know, works two jobs, pays his bills, is faithful to his wife, and has raised his three kids AND TWO NEPHEWS AND A NIECE.

He works two jobs. He lives in a simple house. He's 53 years old and bought his first new car last year.

We were driving around about a year ago and he got pulled over. I still don't know why. When the cop asked him for license and registration, my buddy gave it to him, the cop looked at it for a while, gave it back to him, and told him "I'm just giving you a warning, slow down." After the cop left, I looked at my buddy like "what the hell is going on" and he said, "I'm sure he didn't see you in the passenger seat until after he pulled me over."

Here is my take on this entire thing. It's going to get long and winded.

The facts remain that "blacks" are the majority of the criminal population for serious violent crimes. Those are the facts. 52% of all murders are committed by "blacks" yes they only make up something like 12% of the population. Explain to me how 12% of the population can commit 52% percent of the murders in this country? Were they unjustly treated? Why is it that when an armed black man gets killed by police AFTER firing his weapon at a cop the BLM movement starts protesting?

If they were there discussing wage differences or employment something that actually holds water there would be more honest and open discussion.

CK is a rich "black" man who grew up in the suburbs with his white adoptive parents. If you ask me he is doing this to take the attention off of the fact he is about to get cut and isn't a good quarterback. This isn't Lebron, Wade, and Melo standing up before the ESPY awards.

Is there racism in this country? Absolutely but it's not just whites "suppressing" the black community, it goes every which way. It will never go away. Unless you take away someone's ability to think for themselves there will always be racism.

The entire BLM movement started when a criminal tried to kill a cop but you know they won't let the facts get in the way of some good old fashion looting and destruction. The Freddie Gray case? Most of the officers were Hispanic, how about the latest Milwaukee incident where a criminal fired at a cop and was shot and killed, the officer that shot him...yes he was a black male.

But they want dead white cops.

Where was the BLM movement during the entire Louisiana flood? Tens of thousands of blacks lost their homes and belongings, where were they?

CK if you want to stand up (or sit down) for what you believe maybe you should donate that entire salary you make if you really feel that way. Until then stand up and honor the hundreds of thousands of black men and women who lost their lives for you.

Few notes:

Bills traded a draft pick for LB McCray from the Packers. I don't know him at all, but that's news. 2018 7th round pick to GB.

Eichel has said he's not living with Moulson this season and is living with Reinhart instead. Old news but official now.

Bills roster has to get to 75 by 4. Right now we're at 90 plus McCray.

I bet Garth took this really hard; he thought he was on the short list.

I hear Cardale Jones may get cut

- homiedclown

Putting him on the IR is what I heard. They aren't cutting him. He has shown that he is a project which they new when drafting him but he has shown some good flashes.

Well, sure
But that's the point I think
He's not doing this just for kicks
He's trying to draw attn to what he views as a serious issue
I'm more than ok with that

More ppl should give a sh!t about what's going on
Especially at his age, where most of his peers care more about horrible MTV reality shows, etc

every other league, I think, you can't do that crap

he is representing the NFL when he does that, and they should fine him for his game check

Yeah life IS hard for Black criminals as they have the same rights as do the law abiding citizens according to Kap. Amazing how this country has somehow adopted this dialog that criminals are now the victims. Here's the facts .......... if you are Black and you wake up in the morning, leave the house with a weapon, commit a crime and fight the police ............ chances are you are gonna get f'cked up. Good I say. When did crime become acceptable in this country?
- fastek

Why are you making poop up? Kapernick never said anything like this.

and what exactly is WRONG about refusing to do the pledge
This isn't a police state
We all get to choose whether or not we want to participate

He's not inciting violence or anything
Kap is just saying,
"Hey, I'm gonna sit this out. And this is why..."

Agree or not,
That's what makes this country great
That we all have the right do that & not be fined or fired

nice blog

NFL should have a rule where all players must respect the flag and anthem

you don't respect it, your fined your paycheck for that day

- homiedclown

If everyone is doing what they're suppose to and "respecting" a flag, how did someone notice Kaepernick seating? The irony of it all.
