It brings attention to a real problem. It's always amusing that people have a problem with protesters, but never with the problems they are protesting (usually because they're deeply ingrained in our society and seem normalized).

Personally, I think he did something positive with his celebrity and I commend him for it.

I have no problem with celebrities using their fame for causes, but I also choose to generally ignore millionaires who tell me life is unfair.

Even John Lennon, one of my heros, lost me when he wrote "imagine no possessions". .... I can certainly imagine that but it does not resonate with this working-class slob.

The thing is - and I say this respectfully because you have a good point - CK isn't complaining that life is hard for him. He is specifically using his clout to say life is hard for people like him who aren't also great football players (assuming he's even a good player, I don't watch the NFL).

The stats pretty much back him up too. And he was quite articulate. I personally really respect him because he's getting nothing out of this but a huge headache. It's not something people want to talk about or even acknowledge, but that in itself is also a problem.

Yeah life IS hard for Black criminals as they have the same rights as do the law abiding citizens according to Kap. Amazing how this country has somehow adopted this dialog that criminals are now the victims. Here's the facts .......... if you are Black and you wake up in the morning, leave the house with a weapon, commit a crime and fight the police ............ chances are you are gonna get f'cked up. Good I say. When did crime become acceptable in this country?

Let's roll this back before we get out of hand... That's not what he's saying and let's not spin it that way. He's saying for the average black American the level of freedom isn't the same. Whether or not that's accurate it's his opinion and it's a peaceful protest.

Few notes:

Bills traded a draft pick for LB McCray from the Packers. I don't know him at all, but that's news. 2018 7th round pick to GB.

Eichel has said he's not living with Moulson this season and is living with Reinhart instead. Old news but official now.

Bills roster has to get to 75 by 4. Right now we're at 90 plus McCray.

There is no such thing. There are only black criminals.

Just ask the guy. In his world, "if you are Black and you wake up in the morning, (you) leave the house with a weapon, commit a crime and fight the police ... ."

Not saying this would solve all our problems, but a year or 2 of mandatory military service would be good imo. Everyone is treated the same. Instills national pride. Provides discipline and skills. Teaches how to use firearms properly. Tough looking threads....

I can say this now cuz my eight years were under Reagan, GHWB and Clinton so I didn't have to fight boogeyman terrorists....the "enemy" is not an easy concept anymore.

I just think more people should ask "Why would he say that?" instead of saying "He's a jerk for saying that." Clearly he thinks its worth the consequences to say something, so why not hear him out and then maybe if you're interested in what he says, do a little research with an open mind.

No one is saying to go soft on crime, but when you have over a million people incarcerated and they are disproportionately people of minorities, then as a society you have to start asking tough questions. I think Kaepernick is just asking us to think about who we consider to be criminals and why.

I don't think anyone has to agree with me and I don't want to fight about it, but I think that if you're going to take the authority of judging someone's behavior and deciding whether or not to lock them up, that is the absolute least you should do.
