A big time Football recruit at Michigan, Antonio Bass, had a similar injury before his sophomore year, and never even came close to playing again. In fact, he can barely even jog or play pickup basketball.

Not saying this is the same type injury, but seems similar.

So did Jamaal Charles. ACL injuries used to be career altering. Now they have made so many medical advancements that they aren't as bad anymore. Still bad, but you can come back just as strong.

I don't think he's a bubble guy at all. Barring another set back (which is entirely likely) I think he has a spot reserved for him on that roster. May not be in the same capacity as it used to be, but I think he'll be on the final roster if there are no further injuries.
