None of these would be top three. Hell they'd have plenty of competition to finish 4th.

But you go ahead and take that over the undisputed top prospect pool.

Behind your big three ( marner, matthews, nylander), your next wave of prospects doesn't even compare to the names I listed
- TylerSeguin19

We'll actually they do, and quite well actually.

Earlier you said you'd take your group over ours........ Now it's if you take our top 3 guys out of the picture

Even if you take top 3 away our group compares well to that list.

I think you're a lunatic.

But to make things interesting I'm going to assume you're definition of elite prospects is the same as a normal persons high end prospects, which still doesn't cover your first ten names. The bolded I'll give you as high end.

Heinen "could" be a number two center. I've never seen someone with 2nd line POTENTIAL called elite. Senyshyn has surprised me big time, but needs to work on his play off the puck. DeBrusk won't amount to much IMO. Griffith - elite? Can I have some of what you're on? He's a perineal AHLer that can't do squat at the NHL level even when playing with Krejci. See Chris Borque. Fitzgerald - see Heinen with even less upside.

The dmen though

Watch out, Boston will be back up there with one of the best defenses in the NHL in 5 years.

Do your self a favour and look up the names I listed

Not arguing and on phone so don't want to check stats, but are they in the same league?

Edit: They're not - IMO extremely tough to make cross league comparisons based off of scoring alone.

Yes they are.

Being in the same league is specifically why I chose those two..... And not guys like timashov who has also put up outstanding numbers.

They are also the same age.

My bad - for some reason I had DeBrusk and the WHL in my mind. Obviously he plays for the Greyhounds

So ESPN usually talks out of their @ss when it comes to hockey...but some reason I feel people on here will agree with this ESPN finding.
HAHA.
Number one prospect pool in the league?
Well...seems hard to believe.

It's weird seeing them number 1 on anything done by ESPN.

Every time they do a poll, either anonymous or sourced, the Leafs are always 30th in the NHL. More often than not, they are ranked 122nd out of 122 professional teams in North America.

I think someone made a huge mistake at the ESPN offices.

I would have Jets ahead leafs simply due to their quality depth.
But with Matthews, Ny, and Marner as our elite, we've got some decent depth prospects as well.

This is weird.

I think that Ari and 'Peg have better depth, especially in the 5 through 10 spot... though Pronman does say that he values high end more, and if you focus on true rookies (i.e. Calder eligible), we have 3 of the top 5/6 available.

The nonsense that gets spewed out is unreal sometimes. How would you not take the Leafs prospects over the Bruins? And don't get me wrong, there are clear headscratchers in not taking Connor and Barzal, but I am really high on what the entirety of our prospect pool makes up. That doesn't mean you take that over Matthews, Marner (beast) and Nylander.

You guys are really weak on the defensive prospect front though. At least, from what I know. so we got you there

Oh I forgot about Arizona (common issue).
But still, even to be in the top 3.....its just weird....its weird that the leafs may have a future!

Remember the days of Steen, Stajan and Wellwood as our top prospects?

My cape house is done being rented on saturday and going back down there for the next week. My dog, who is only one, just got into swimming and am petrified what she'd do to the liner if she jumped in the pool
