Josh Thole's .158 batting average is tied for 79th place among the 90 catchers that have played in the majors this year - and he has more plate appearances than any catcher behind him. I like him - Jays can't afford a personal catcher that cannot hit for the fifth starter - that is unlikely to pitch in the post season. Nice guy - sure, Navarro far superior in skills and hitting. Very sharp move by management.

Reimer's stats were about the same as Andersen's stats. So not clear if there will be much of a positive change there but Enroth vs Bernier should be an upgrade.

Brian Murray did the rebuild on a few teams. Shortly after leaving the teams became serious contenders. I think the Sens are in great shape and other than Tampa they will be as strong as any team in the east.

If Andersen can play 55-60 games and put up numbers like that it'd be an improvement over Reimer since he never seemed capable of playing that much himself. Just in terms of SV% they are both close enough though.
