For some reason my gut is telling me Nylander is not going to be durable, and Connor Brown will end up being better than Nylander...I just think that Nylander will get his clock cleaned early in his career...I hope not, but.... |

I agree that Connor Brown will be up there with the other top prospects.
Willie getting his bell rung.....don't know about that. You have to make a lot of assumptions for that one....he skates with his head down, a dirty hit being thrown, his head is made of egg shell.....so many things.
Willie, and add Marner, have always been smaller guys and that's one of the main reasons they are so good at seeing the ice....they need to keep their heads up.
Neither are made of glass and both have taken hits before.
Bad hits happen but players do recover. |

I think if you rate the top few prospects Brown has to be on that list and it really is a list of top 2 with 4 players....
Tied for #1. Matthews/Marner, if we are really honest and try not to be partial because of draft position or size, this is a competition in the making for number 1.
Tied for #2. Nylander/Brown, again real honesty, Brown has been the dark horse his whole career and Nylander has been the hot shot...one is used to working hard the other might need a little time to figure that out...a la Kadri. In the end, I see this as a competition in the making too.
But, it's (frank)ing awesome to have 4 legit prospects....probably all making the club this year. |
