Cody Hodgson will sign a PTO with the oilers this week.

For all of those Wrestling fans out there, Mr. Fuji passed away.

I read a lot of the posts - about the lack of a true #1 D-man and it's need to be contenders - .... there's no question that you likely need a #1 D-man (a guy that would be in the top 15 range in NHL d-man at the time of winning). Looking at the past winners year by year: Letang, Doughty, Keith, Chara, Lindstrom.... then Niedermyer / Pronger (*crying*)....then we come to the hard part. The last team that didn't have a true #1 were the Hurrianes in 06. Kaberle, Hedican, Commodore... lol...... it was all Ward. No, not Aaron ward, but Cam obv.

So unless we get a superstar goalie or Talbot somehow becomes the next Fuhr....... they'll need Larsson or Klefbolm to step into a SOLID paid.

Didn't put up a Conn Smythe performance that year. That season is just more evidence of the impact Pronger had on teams. Look at the Oilers, Ducks and Flyers pre and post Pronger. Every team went to a finals with him, and fell without him.

He had a sh1tty season that year, but had a decent playoffs and everyone started losing their sh1t over him... He signed a huge contract after, and has been a below average goalie... He has really only had one good season of hockey (2010-2011), three decent seasons, and then seven seasons where he has been below average. Overall, as a goalie, he is severely overrated.
